Trật tự câu: Chủ ngữ – Tân ngữ – Động từ
Tiếng Hàn đặt động từ ở CUỐI câu. "Tôi ăn cơm" → 저는 밥을 먹어요 (tôi – cơm – ăn). Đừng dịch theo thứ tự tiếng Việt.
Trợ từ 은/는 · 이/가 · 을/를
Sau danh từ phải có trợ từ: 은/는 (chủ đề), 이/가 (chủ ngữ), 을/를 (tân ngữ). Chọn theo âm cuối: có patchim → 은/이/을, không có → 는/가/를.
Đuôi câu lịch sự -아/어요
Nói với người lạ/lớn tuổi dùng -아/어요 (먹어요, 가요). Dạng nguyên thể -다 (먹다) chỉ dùng trong từ điển, KHÔNG dùng khi nói.
"Xin/cho tôi…" → -아/어 주세요
Nhờ vả lịch sự: "Cho tôi xem thực đơn" → 메뉴 좀 보여 주세요. Người Hàn hay thêm 좀 cho mềm giọng.
